Deploy the static build

Build for your domain or a subdirectory, then upload the output.

Build for your domain

From the folio/ folder, set SITE_URL to your domain. The following commands are for PowerShell on Windows. Replace the example domain before building.

$env:SITE_URL = 'https://your-domain.example'
npm.cmd run build

Use a subdirectory when needed

If the site will live below a path such as /portfolio/, set DEMO_BASE before building. This updates asset URLs and language paths. Leave it unset for a domain-root deployment.

$env:DEMO_BASE = '/portfolio/'
npm.cmd run build

Upload and verify

Upload the contents of folio/dist/ to your static host. Preserve the zh/ and _astro/ folders. Directory requests should serve index.html. The deployed portfolio needs no Node.js process or database. Check both languages, mobile layout, themes, titles and contact links after upload. The dist/ folder in the package is example output; rebuild after editing your content.

Included documentation

The full package includes README.md, README.zh-CN.md, example configuration, a static build and the commercial license. View Folio details.
